This policy explains how Nordbyte AB handles personal data when you visit nordbyte.se, contact us or work with us. We collect as little as we can, keep it only as long as we need it, and never sell it.
Who is responsible for your data

What we collect
- When you use the contact form: your name, email address, company (if you add it), the topic you choose and your message.
- When you email or call us: your contact details and whatever you choose to tell us.
- When we work together: names, work email addresses and phone numbers of the people we work with, plus the information needed for contracts and invoices.
- When you visit the website: technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, recorded in our web host’s server logs for security and troubleshooting.
The website has no analytics, advertising or social media trackers. Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so visiting the site does not send your data to third-party font services.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal — our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, and steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- To deliver the work we have agreed on — performance of a contract.
- To keep the website secure and working — our legitimate interest.
- To meet accounting and other legal requirements — legal obligation.
When you send the contact form, you also confirm that we may store your details to reply. We do not use your data for marketing unless you have asked us to.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to an assignment are deleted within 24 months.
- Data about clients and projects is kept for as long as we work together, and up to 24 months after that.
- Accounting records are kept for seven years, as Swedish accounting law requires.
- Server logs are deleted automatically by our web host after a short period.
Who we share it with
We never sell personal data. To run the business we use a small number of trusted suppliers (data processors) who may only handle data on our instructions: our web host, Strato (Germany), which stores the website and its database, and the email service we use to send and receive messages. If we need to share data with anyone else — for example an accountant or an authority — we only do so when we are required or permitted to by law.
Transfers outside the EU/EEA
We aim to keep personal data within the EU/EEA. If a supplier ever processes data outside the EU/EEA, we make sure an approved safeguard is in place, such as an EU adequacy decision or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Email queries@nordbyte.se and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) at imy.se.
Security
The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to enquiries and client data is limited to the people who need it, protected by strong passwords and kept up to date.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
